Welcome to your 2016 State of the Union: ArtFacts edition. As you wrap up your yearly tasks and get on with the holidays, we’d like to send a message for our users nonetheless. We promise to keep it short and sweet!
Thank you for the incredible amount of feedback received this year. Our users are what inspire us to better our product and we’re closer to the finish line than ever before. In 2017 you can expect to see more changes tailored to fit your needs.
Ranking Explanation Please note that we’ve updated the Ranking Explanation once again, and will continue to do so in 2017. The ranking explanation is everything you ever wanted to know about how ArtFacts works, packaged up neatly with a bow on top. We’ve created a graph to illustrate how we wrangle our data. And without revealing our secrets, we tell you how we’ve generated the new and improved artist ranking. This explanation is the basis of all our findings. Simply hover over the information icon and a pop-out will do the talking.
As ranks change, so do our methods. We are dedicated to transparency throughout the process and will let you know as soon as algorithms shift.
